Clearbridge BioMedics' ClearCell™ CTChip® presented at the Molecular Med Tri-Conference
20 February 2012 Clearbridge BioMedics’ revolutionary ClearCell™ CTChip® will be presented at the Molecular Med Tri-Conference in San Francisco from 19 to 23 February 2012.
Clearbridge BioMedics is partnering with Abnova to distribute its proprietary ClearCell™ System and CTChip®, which Abnova will be marketing as the Abnova Captor System along with its proprietary antibodies and reagents. This product will be showcased during the exhibition, where some 3,000 delegates will have the opportunity to view the Abnova Captor system.
The Abnova Captor system is a platform that provides the next generation, noninvasive liquid biopsy for cancer screening, staging, treatment and monitoring. It is driven by Clearbridge BioMedics’ ClearCell™ CTChip®, an advanced micro-filtration system for isolating and retrieving circulating tumor cells, and also incorporates Abnova’s proprietary antibody reagents, for accurately diagnosing specific medical conditions.
Clearbridge BioMedics partners with companies like Abnova, to distribute its proprietary ClearCell™ CTChip® technology. Clearbridge BioMedics will work with these partners to co-brand and co-market the device, allowing it to reach wider markets.
During the Molecular Med Tri-Conference, Clearbridge BioMedics’ co-founder and inventor, Professor Lim Chwee Teck will be presenting the findings of his research in a talk entitled, "Microfluidic Biochips for the Label-Free Detection, Isolation and Retrieval of Circulating Tumor Cells". Prof Lim is from the Department of Bioengineering and Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore.
